Live Slice/Guide Issues with Windows 10 App

I'm finding that if I leave the UI in the recorded window for too long, that when I go back to Live, the guide has not updated, and sometimes the slices are blank except for the channel ID. Closing the app and restarting will solve the issue. Is there a command to force a guide refresh other than restarting the App?

Note, this computer is not set to go to sleep as it's the DVR as well. I only mention this because my other Media center computer is set to go to sleep, so restarting the app to restore the guide makes sense to me.

I haven't confirmed if the same happens with the Firestick4K, as lately I've been using the Windows app to avoid the Firestick's various choppiness issues with HDHR.

I have a similar issue, but with my Shield. Occasionally I'll be watching live TV for a while, and when I bring out the slice guide to change channels, many, but not all, of the slices are blank, except for the channel number. I have the exit the app, kill it from the "recent apps" screen, then restart the app. Then things are fine for a while until it happens again. It hasn't happened yet today, but I'll post again when it does.

This was the original thread similar was reported in... (I described it later as having the issue when on recorded or discovery for a long time).

Since that time, in the past few days, I have noticed a few times that it behaved like the last post in that thread in that some channels had data (for many more hours, I was able to advance more than 12) and others were blank. What I find interesting is blank will stay blank and not allow one to advance in the slice... I was hoping that it could refresh such. Part of me wishes that return to live would "always" do a guide refresh, at least then one could go to discover or recorded and then get back to live with data rather than having to exit the app.

Along such lines, I would also wish the title at the bottom of the screen (in live) would reflect the current show title not the show the channel was started on.

Last night, I went away for about 2 hours and it happened (@7:30-9:30PM EDT)

I'd like to know as well where we stand on this. It continues to happen regularly and is extremely annoying. Right at this moment, most of my slice guide is blank because I've been watching live TV all day and haven't had a chance to kill the app and restart it to get the guide data back. Please, SD, address this issue sooner rather than later. Thanks.

The development team working hard to get it fixed. There are a lot of different intertwined parts involved in the guide: retrieving the data from the server, storing the data, determining what data is expired and can be removed, actually removing it, pulling the right data out of the store to display, displaying it properly broken up by time, and so on. It's probably the most complex part of the entire UI, so identifying and fixing bugs can take some time.

I just now got another update that we're most of the way there and the current target is to have an update out Monday or Tuesday. If for some reason that slips, the next target would be Monday the 8th (holiday throws a wrench into anything later next week).

Hi, Jason. It being Tuesday now and there being no update yet, will we have to wait until next Monday for this update?
