IOS - New UI - 2 problems

Post by DebbieFL33 » Thu May 23, 2019 7:11 pm

First, when scheduling a one-off for recording, one cannot change padding time(s).

Second, tasks cannot be deleted. Sometimes the task appears to be deleted...but when looking at task list later...it’s baacck. Other times the focus goes to the detail schedule of the show. But nothing happens.

Latest tests 5/28

Can now add a new task with my preferred padding times :D

However, still cannot delete a task. Trying to delete from task list automatically drops to detail schedule page, Delete task there results in app crash.

@nateb

Can now delete task without crash. Thank you...thank you

While testing these two problems again today, I noticed an oddity with scheduling a task with my desired padding. The first time I setup a task within the detail listing...change the padding time 0/0...the saved task defaults back to 30/30. If I then delete that task, then setup the same show and input 0/0...the task saves as 0/0. :roll:

Can you please investigate?

Can do. Is this on any particular platform?

edit: I'm not actually able to replicate this. Tried on Win10 and Android. In both situations, padding saved first go around.

Oh jeez. I think this is the second or third time this has happened to me. I must have some serious blindspot with titles.

@nateb

Yep...

Don’t even have to delete just bring up detail and input On Time/On Time...it is changed.

FYI: using 4/17/2019 record engine & fw. Early Access on. Just turned on send diagnostic. Will do a couple more in the next few minutes.

BTW: Where on new UI - iOS can you find version number?

@nateb

Further testing:

Updated iOS to 12.3.1 - Didn’t solve padding save
Deleted testflight 5/09 (1). Re setup
Tests confirmed that padding save WORKED

Reset HD settings to allow for new features on
New tests padding save reverted to my prior posted results. Fail

Changed settings to turn off “early access to features”
Back to being able to save padding changes

HOWEVER...Lost ability to setup starting page to Recorded. :x

End result: Cannot have starting page as Recorded AND utilize padding save properly. Mystery solved but still needs a fix. Do you agree?

Definitely.

Let me ask, there are 2 places where you can change padding. In tasks after setting a recording, and in discover, when you are first setting a recording. Are you seeing the failure in both situations? Or only one?

Change padding in Discover is the one which fails.
The change via tasks works. Also you can change padding from Discover if the task has already been created

WOO HOO

Fixed. Thank you so much

The only other improvement to change padding, would be to add the capability of user set padding defaults. Any possibility of adding this as a future feature request?

With the recent changes made to the new UI, I can now use this version within a production system. Great job!
