Thank you. As of late, however, all I have to do to get the guide data back is to close the app, stop the app (double-click the home key and stop the app from there), then restart the app. There's no need to clear the cache as I thought earlier.

I'm also getting this on shield tv's, slice data disappears, can't tune.

We want to try to focus on this hopefully this week. I just want to confirm whether you guys are still seeing it. It's always possible we accidentally fixed it with another fix that touches that same area.

I tried to reproduce this but couldn't the way OP described. In my case i left a channel on for over 8 hours (tried 12 and 20 as well as a few more 8's) however I did encounter the same behavior when I left it on Recorded or one of the others for similar times then went back to live.

I am still seeing this. But recently, I don't have to be watching the same channel for hours and hours. What I'm seeing now is that some of the boxes in the slice guide where the current program should be will be blank. Not all of them, but many of them are blank and the rest appear to show the current program for that channel. And what appears to fix it is the shut down the app, kill it in the running apps screen (double-click the home button), then restart the app. I have never had this fail to fix it.

I'm having the same problem on my FireTV Cube. The only fix is to reboot the FireTV, but then the problem eventually returns.

An update was pushed out late last night (you can confirm you're updated by going into the menu, then the gear icon, and having the version listed as 20190708 (beta). Are you still seeing issues in the new version?

Yes, I have last night's update, 20190708 (beta), and I'm still having the issue.

This issue is still not corrected with UI version 20190711g (beta).

I also still see this behavior, but lately, it can "correct" itself. I'm not sure if the correction was caused by me looking around in discover some more before returning (including searching on channels) or switching channels but was very surprised it returned without exiting the app.

I don't use Discover, nor do I watch recordings on my Shield. Only live TV. I have never had the guide data come back on the slice all by itself. As a matter of fact, the longer I watch live TV, the more guide data goes away until I'm left with a mostly empty slice guide. The only way for me to get the guide data back is to exit the app, kill the app from the "recent apps" screen, then restart the app.

I see the UI is now version 20190712d (beta). I've been at a family reunion this afternoon and just got back, so I just started live TV and it has all guide data right now. I'll check the guide every so often and watch for it to begin disappearing again...

It's now a few hours later and the guide data is beginning to disappear. So far, just a few channels' guide data here and there are missing...

Hmmm. I've had live TV running for about 4 to 5 hours now, and I don't see any missing guide data. I'm still on UI version 20190712d (beta). Usually, I'd have about 25% of the guide data missing by now...

I just checked the slice again after live TV has been running about 8 hours, and guide data is beginning to disappear again. I see about 10% of the channels on the slice guide are blank.
