14 day guide

Post by andrewhall » Sun Nov 17, 2019 11:32 am

Is there any plans to add a grid style guide in future? We as a family are more traditionalists and would like to have this type of guide if it is possible.

we do enjoy the rest of the app.

No plans for a grid guide at this time.

We should point out that you can get a grid guide when using Android TV's Live Channels app and the HDHomeRun input driver (which installs with the normal HDHomeRun app), and we consider that an officially supported client. It even supports DRM-restricted channels for cable TV users: https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/android ... e_channels

The only negative there is that it won't include access to the HDHomeRun DVR. For that I would suggest that grid-fans check out the very awesome unofficial Kodi PVR add-on from djp952: viewtopic.php?f=88&t=71135

Sticking with WMC. Grid guide with both DRM viewing and recording. Dedicated Intel NUC's that are used for nothing else.

It's still better than any other solution out there.

This is actually really cool, and works very well. I had no idea the HDHomeRun app integrates this deeply with the Android TV OS. Recommend!
