promo email

Post by techpro2004 » Fri May 10, 2019 3:59 pm

I just received a promo email from silicon dust. It mentions "surprises". I am not a big fan of being surprised so lets cut to the chase. Are those surprises you talked about the prime 6 as frankly that is the only new product that you are scheduled to release that I am interested in.

Just ignore - it is the usual crowd. 'I demand' , 'how come SD have to bent over Amazon/Microsoft/blah-blah to make them do something',' I am the customer and I am God' , usual BS.

as for promo email, I read it more as we would come out with pre-launch discounts for servio and stuff (as we announce discounts for current products). I do not know where one would read Prime 6 in any of this..

We’re excited to announce The Summer of Cord Cutting!
I don't know why, and maybe it's just me, but it seemed the email was about products for cord cutting, not products for cable tv.

Hoping the surprise is an ATSC 3.0 tuner... :ugeek:

Yes, it's OTA focused, but with an emphasis on the new UI, and some barbs directed at anyone that prefers a grid guide.

A lot of moderation here?

I'm hoping it is a replacement for PremiumTV!

While that would be nice, I hope not. I do not want any more delay than there needs to be on the prime 6. I hope SD finishes past projects before opening more. a new service would be extremely time consuming and take away from existing projects.

And Nate has already said in other posts, there are no current plans to replace PTV or introduce any streaming service into the system
