Is DRM recording still tied to same approval of HDR-6?

Just checking if the two are still tied? If so that let’s me know what to keep me eye out for.

They have stated many times that the 2 are NOT tied together and are independent of each other.

True. But they've also repeatedly stated that DRM recording will debut with the Prime 6. So while they aren't inherently tied together, in practice they are.

(Unless SD wishes to finally announce that they will indeed release DRM recording before the Prime 6 is released ... but I'm not holding my breath.)

Not true they stated it is a one way tie. As such it is highly likely all items go through certification at same time, however they won’t gate DRM recording on PRIME6, but hey ya know facts don’t matter these days.
