At least one - then we'll see how it goes, because with padding each channel can end up using two tuners.
Using the HDHomerun app, channels, EMBY no way a channel takes up 2 tuners even with padding.
I think he meant this example. record 30 minute show on channel 1 at 8:30 with a 2 min before and after padding. and record channel 3 at 9:00 with a 2 minute padding before and after. 2 tuners being used between 8:58 and 9:02

Definitely buying the Prime 6 and passing my trusty 3 along to a friend.

One.

I'm planning on dropping from my current 3 down to 1. ROI is about year since I'll be saving about $15/month from the cable cards.

Until I can record DRM, there is no need for extra tuners. Premium apps are getting better and network programming is getting worse so there is not much need to fast forward through commercials anymore. SD has no feature road map to get me interested in the product line. And saying "soon" for 3 years is ridiculous.

Not looking very good to me. No outside home viewing, 2 consecutive streams at a time, pay a monthly fee, 20 hours cloud DVR that is non transferable.

Prime 6 with SD recording, or Emby looks much better for me, even if it is taking 3 years to come out.

One initially. Need the DVR of protected content to work, however. Need only work on one PC or TV for us -- like Mediia Center. Don't need whole house coverage.

None until I can play back recorded DRM on Android. There's no point in buying new tuners if I can't use them.
I don't think its the tuners blocking DRM since I can play DRM using WMC its in the security of the video chip
