Lets cut to the chase

Postby rrussis82 » Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:04 pm

Nick,

When will SD produce a "behind the scenes" video at the office with all the crew just being silly. We can put a face and voice to Nate and Ned due to their past work, and to Ted the CEO due to interviews. This would be a great future product for SD for a customer relations stand point to put in the "About" section. It would make the company feel more personable to the customer than just another company out there. Put all crew members in with something to say.

To some degree this would be hard to do, because a fair number of us work away from the office. With that said, this is definitely something I agree with. I think it'd be really fun to do something like a video showing off how Nick goes about designing a board. When I was pulled on to the team, that kind of thing was easily one of the most fascinating things to see that I think people rarely get a glimpse of.

I also thought it'd be pretty funny (but probably against some contract) to sneak into a Best Buy with Ted and see what the random Best Buy employee says if Ted asks about network attached tuners.

Setting up a more personal blog and doing some more "real" videos like that were on my early agenda. Then Premium TV happened and I've personally been pretty swamped ever since. Still, if I can manage to fit that kind of thing in, I definitely will.

I'd love to see some of that. It would be great to put a face and a voice to all the crew, especially ones on this board. +1 on the best Buy, it would kind of be like "Undercover Boss", you may have to blur out the Best Buy logo and name and call it a box electronic store.

you may have to blur out the Best Buy logo
and to limit their humiliation when they respond with "uh...what?"

Come on, others have to agree. Am I the only one interested in the behind the scenes?

Useless. They're a business, not your friends.

I don't care what they look like, sound like or act like.

I just want them to deliver on the projects they have been promising for over a year.

Right. I don't need this. Just another distraction to them delivering on their promises.
