I am taking an unofficial poll of which people are more interested in. The scribe duo (duo with 1tb drive) or the prime 6. Personally, I am interested in the prime 6.

Neither. No longer investing in DVR equipment have 2 Primes.

I've already got 2 Primes so my next step would be no cable at all before I invest in anything else. But I'm not wanting to think negatively.
However, I wish they'd spend their time and money finishing what they started before pushing out new things. Sure, I totally understand companies need to branch out with a variety of products but I sincerely hope Prime 6 and an updated UI.

That is my thinking also next step is giving up cable … The duo 1 TB does not interest me .. there are better options than 2 tuners... 4 tuners out there.

Premium TV if channels are re-added would be my first option.

since I spent over $2K in network and system upgrades last month. They will be hard pressed to get in my budget until next fall for a new prime 6, if it happens at all. Now that football is basically over I will see what I can get for a prime along with a modem and router [the plasma I replaced with an oled C8 went to my sister]. Now I need to get up to speed on QNAP and sell the MyCloud.

Mediaman: My recommendation is to ditch both the wd and qnap. Go for a dell t30. It is much more powerful and much cheaper. It is also very reliable and supports 6 drives (4 x 3.5" and 2 x 2.5").

I think for people here, the Servio would be more interest than the Scribe as they already have their tuner but may wish for a "simpler" dvr setup (though I have never understood people having problems with the DVR setup). The prime 6 may interest many here who wish to update to 6 tuners or reduce cablecard fees when they already have 6 or more.

Ahhhh. They both say they are in production, pre-orders in March available in April. I wonder if the Prime 6 is also in production. Could waiting on these have been the hold up with Prime 6? wait for these 2 to be perfected and send one large order of the 3 devices in at the same time?

I also think since SD rolled out PTV and realized the average Joe Some could not figure out their system, they chose to build these 2 new devices to make it dummy proof, I have honestly seen a lot more posts on here from new customers brought in by PTV that have a lot of trouble on some of the basic things.

But that said. in regards to the Poll.... Prime 6.

Same here.... plenty of equipment already (2 primes and 4 Duals plus old pre-DLNA Dual which I use on Plex's DVR since it supports it for recording and viewing). More interested in new UI and DRM recording (in that order)..... hedging my bets by having 2 DVR's to test and evaluate in case we have to jump ship to PLEX DVR.

I do not see any of these competing with the recast 4 tuner.... unless they have a 4 tuner one with remote viewing.
