Upstream contract dispute

Postby alexander7567 » Sun Feb 03, 2019 5:35 pm

I noticed the upstream channel contract despite issue is no longer in the status topic, but the channels are still missing. Just curious what changed.

The missing channels aren't a deal-breaker for me, but the silence here is deafening. Come on guys - you owe this community an update on the missing channel dispute, Stage 2, etc.

Another frustrated customer here. Would appreciate the status regarding HGTV as one of your offered Premium channels?

Recently purchased another HDHomerun Quatro based on your previous channel lineup that included HGTV. Just got the device installed and discovered HGTV is no longer included in Premium TV. Wife requirement to have HGTV. Was really looking forward to having one remote and one channels guide.

Really think you have a winning solution to cord cutting with the combined OTA + Premium channels. Just hope you can get these channels back into your offering and stabilize the listing.

Thank you.

I would like an update as well. You tell us this is your support forums but you haven't been any where visible to support us recently.

Where are our channels?
When are we going to get an update on anything you have been working on?
How many more months will I need to get manual bill credits?
Is stage 2 or video quality improvements even going to happen?
Are time zones ever going to be fixed?
Are you still looking at alternative providers or more channels?

We are 6 months now from launch and stage 2 hasn't even launched and all these questions are still unanswered. The only thing keeping me with this service right now is the ability to record and store the content my self, if another provider pops up and offered the same but at a little higher cost I would gladly leave SD behind due to how they have handled this product since launch.

I don't get this $35 price, when other Omniverse providers are charging less with Discovery and Hallmark

You are more than welcome to do the other things... but the DVR options are usually not nearly as good and rarely does one get up to 4 streams.

I not saying what is a better service, I'm talking strictly about content pricing. SD is making more on the services selling extra hardware and subscriptions. At most Premium tv should be $25. Other providers I looked at have up to 6 streams

Another customer looking for an update here - little unnerving to see this issue removed from the health/status post and then complete radio silence from SD... what gives?

Billed today for the full $34.99. Not holding my breath for a $10 credit to be issued. Guess it's back to PSVue.

Radio silence is what worked for the Kickstarter/ record protected channels issue. My heart has dropped into my stomach. Again.

They did do that, didn't they. I abandoned all hopes of that happening years ago and moved on but then came PremiumTV.. My YTTV sub just went off "Pause" so I figure I'll be going back to that, especially if the $35 a month thing becomes an ongoing issue with the credit. I get YTTV for $35 a month on the grandfathered rate.

It looks as if there are much bigger issues with the Premium TV product in the very near future,

Hate to say it but … Maybe it is time Silicon Dust stops charging and making this service available.
