Nickk - Please Confirm Credit Due to Channel Issues.

@Nickk

As my subscription is coming up soon, just wanted to confirm that I (along with others) should expect a $10 credit to this month's renewal due to the issues seen with the missing channels etc and according to your Health/Status post update this should be expected by Premium TV customers until the issue is resolved ?

What is there to check on... as stated they have not yet worked out implementation... eventually a $10 credit will be issued.

Can someone from Silicon Dust (not the SD cheerleaders who can only speculate) please comment on why it is taking so long to get this rolled out? A credit system was promised back when the entire service was down for about two days a few months ago and it still isn't in place? Is this even a priority?

The service was down for two days? Didn't notice.

As previously stated, they're working on implementation of the credit.

I believe the "2 days" being referred to was an issue in regards to billing not occurring for 2 days after expiration.... the credit there was for credit processing not an actual credit or implementing how the $10 credit would be issued, i.e. reduction of payment, refund issued.

Any conversation from two months ago about some short term credit has absolutely no bearing on the current conversation about a $10 credit per month for however long it takes for the current dispute to resolve itself. The current credit requires some fairly complex accounting procedures, and that, unfortunately, takes a bit of time.This credit was not promised 2 months ago. It was promised 7 days ago. And admittedly, getting it going has taken longer than we would like, but not 2 months longer than we would like.

Then what are you talking about as I am not aware of any 2 day outage that "credit" was due on... (and looking at your previous posts, that is the issue I was referring to)

Was it regional? If so if truly out for 2 days it was most likely an ISP issue that is beyond SD's control (that is the nature of the internet and SD has been more than proactive in resolving such issues in manually adjusting routes) I would also put the outage that I believe affected the mid-atlantic region in this group as SD has redundancy and wen one location went down, it took a while for the routes to repopulate but I don't remember it being 2 days

Alright, no taking jabs at each other. People have a right to be frustrated. Let me just say we are working as fast as we can to get these credits rolling, and we'll let you know the moment they're going.
