A&E Part of the 8 Channel Issue ? Seeing It Down Today

Postby Wildcat_1 » Tue Dec 11, 2018 12:04 pm

@Nickk

Per the title, wondering if you can confirm if A&E is part of the ongoing '8 channel' issue today as I cannot access it. Keeps showing 'weak signal' and won't play. Was working fine until today.

Please confirm and if you have any ETA that would be great.

Thanks so much as always

I would expect "everything" (other than the 8 discover/hallmark) to be working in houston as they don't get the pacific feeds of channels that are available as eastern.

If you are in pacific (as well as some mountain as I believe some mst areas got assigned eastern), check the channels that are marked as eastern pacific in the timezone chart (1402 A&E, 1405 AMC, 1455 Life, 1466 E!, 1473 NGC, 1478 History, 1625 BET, and 1734 Cartoon)

@sign

I know there was talk of the re-alignment, then it was off now is it back on ?

I can confirm that the following all are not working at the moment for me:

1402 A&E
1405 AMC
1455 Life
1466 E!
1473 NGC
1478 History
1625 BET
1734 Cartoon

@Nickk, can you confirm if these feeds have now fully changed and advise how I can update to get these showing again ? Thanks

@Wildcat_1 Keep an eye on or subscribe to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=129&t=69262

When those channels are back up, the last post on that thread will be updated. (Sidenote: It's an annoying coincidence that two unrelated issues happen to have exactly the same number of channels affected.)

Thanks for confirming it is part of the 8 channel issues @nateb. Like you said coincidental but annoying nonetheless.

The latest missing channels are back up for me.

Thanks for fixing this so quickly, Nickk and NateB!

When you folks are experiencing a service outage, please indicate which channels are experiencing the outage in that thread. It's becoming very clear there are many things about this service that Silicondust has no control over, but clarifying a service outage is entirely within your control - there is absolutely no need for confusion on which 8 or 16 channels of the service may not be available at any given moment.
