Future Channels, regional sports, ala carte

Postby rmansava » Fri Nov 30, 2018 1:49 pm

So far everything seems pretty good, the stream quality seems to be steadily improving. There's a few channels I'm going to miss from cable but I'm making a switch.

If possible could you shed any light on these questions?

At the $35 a month level are there plans to add additional channels? Going through what we record now this package really hit the channels we watch the most.

What sort of timeline and overhead would there be getting a regional sports package?

I'm not sure if there are discounts having channels in packages. But I think offering some networks outside the $35 core package ala carte would be a game changer. I'd pay a few dollars more a channel to get DIY, BBC America, Outdoor...

The ability for me to keep my recordings and not be on anyone's deadline to watch is what makes me want to stick with HD HomeRun.

Hi,

We are working to add more channels, with some new channels hopefully coming online in the next 30 days.

Regional sports is a challenge but we are pushing to try to make it happen.

Channels typically require bundling.

In the next 30 days? SIGN ME UP for beta testing!

How about at least FS1 and FS2, NBCSports and CBSSports if the regionals take a bit more time?

Other than that I can fill in pretty good with ***** but having it all under one roof would be HUGE. ***** is $20 a month with some overlap with PremiumTV so I'm thinking under $15 is good for an add-on package, hopefully including some more sports channels.

I would definitely pay extra for a sports package with FS1, FS2, NBCSports, CBSSports, Big Ten network, and the Fox sports ohio regionals.

I'll pay extra for more cartoon channels. Disney XD, Disney Junior, Nick Jr, Nicktoons, Teen Nick and Boomerang and this would be the perfect solution for me.

With this my entire media world would exist in my Plex server, very convenient.

Hopefully Omniverse throws those extra channels in when this mess gets resolved. :)

Please add me to the future customers waiting on my regional sports channel: specifically, Fox Sports Southwest.
Thanks,
Alan

All sports channels are a waste of bandwidth for me. Please anything but more sports channels I have to block.

Oh did he say working to add more channels? I think he meant working to remove channels in the next 30 days!
