Local Feeds

Postby robmich » Sun Oct 21, 2018 12:31 pm

Even thought they are NY feeds, would it be possible for you to expose the locals. I cannot get a good OTA signal and any local is better than no locals.

I am going to guess that is unlikely any time soon. Negotiating with the local broadcasters is complex, and due to the DMA rules, one has to ensure that only the locals you can (in theory) get are available to you, so you have to negotiate market by market regarding retransmission consent fees. Such things are why even the major OTT's only include the locals in limited major markets (where the return may be worth the costs).

Unfortunately no... local channels need to come via your antenna.

We may be able to help research antenna options suitable for you location - drop a quick email to support@silicondust.com and include your address.

We only negotiate our own contracts.
