I was using this for testing over the weekend. Can confirm worked really well. You will need a subscription to Schedules Direct to make it work though. (And if you don't, it's a good thing I already had a subscription for doing emby testing.)

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to see if I can get it running under Wine as I'm a Linux user.

Gary had to buy a month of Premium TV to test it and develop it to work Plex. Maybe you could help him out?

I did manage to get it up and running. Care to share which settings you used?

I'm not being successful in geting the epg123.xmltv file to load into Plex. Any suggestions?

I ran the windows installer. Then opened EPG123.

On the left side I put in my Schedules Direct account. 14 days of schedule data. Left pretty much everything else unchecked except Create XMLTV file. In XMLTV config I checked everything except "use local images." Under lineups I had Antenna and HDHomeRun Premium. When you add new, it should give you the correct 2 lineups.

Under Lineup 1 I turned the light green. And selected all. This was my Premium TV. Under lineup 2 I did the same. This was my antenna. Don't think it matters which one is first. Then I save and executed. You can probably remove any channels you don't want here.

From within Plex, I'm not sure how much of this is necessary, but I deleted my DVR. Then I re-added it. On the next page there's an option for adding an xmltv. I added the one I generated there. Plex saw all the appropriate channels, and that was pretty much it. Just had to wait for a really long channel scan and guide update.

I should note, deleting the DVR didn't delect scheduled recordings. When xmltv was finished being parsed, the schedule was back, good as new.

I finally got epg123 to work in Plex with the Premium Channels and my Local OTA Lineup. I think it is that Plex doesn't want a guide longer than 14 days and I prefer 21 days which works fine in WMC and Emby.

I lied. I was able to get it to run under Wine on Linux, but it wouldn't actually work. Did it on my work computer and it is working like a charm as far as I can tell. Guess I'll have to spin up a VM at home just for this until Plex supports it.

@nateb, thanks for listing the process.

No problem. I'd consider making a video, but until we've got the quality issues figured out on Plex, I want to avoid pushing too many newb types over there.

It took many tries to get it working. I unchecked all configuration settings in epg123 and set it to 13 days. I told the xmltv generator to use channel logos from the internet and not from the locally stored data.

I just yesterday set the days back to 21 and need to verify it is working with the latest epg123 v1.2.5.20 which fixed some issues with plex and news programming or other programming with a generic description.

Seems Plex, although adored by many, is a culprit in a few things with Premium TV.. odd quirks coming to light here.

Trying to get this to work with Plex Server which is running on my Nvidia Shield Tv.
I installed EPG 123 on my Win7 Computer, setup my account with Schedules Direct & ran the setup for EPG 123.
Using the Plex web app I keep getting an "invalid or missing file" message when I try to point the Plex DVR setup to the EPG123 output file "epg123.xmltv.

My plan was to put the epg123.xmltv on my WD NAS. I tried pointing Plex to that & when that falled I pointed it to the "Program Data" file for EPG123/output on my computer. Neither worked.

Is there a way to get EPG123 to create the xml file & output it to my NAS?

What am I missing? Is it a "path" issue or something else?
I like this new Premium TV & would really like to get it integrated with my OTA channels into one guide for my Plex server.

Any help will be appreciated!

What version of epg123 are you using?

It took several tries for me to get it to actually work. You do need to turn off "Enhanced Guide" in the Plex Settings.

Also, uncheck everything in epg123 and under the "Create xmltv file" button make sure you uncheck "Use /sdlogos" and get the logos from the internet / SiliconDust.

Keep trying. It is a finicky thing and it is Plex as they are the only one having issues (Well I did see something about MythTV).
