Vagrant Queen - recording off

Post by GGRussell »

Just got around to watching the last episode and appears the last 5 min is missing. Didn't get to see the ending

SyFy is really bad about that, and even the official Comcast DVR will chop off shows from SyFy all the time. The only thing that can really be done there is to add a lot of padding to the recording. I'm not sure if they just don't always submit accurate listings to the guide providers, or if there is something they change at the last minute that pushes programming off by a few minutes, but it doesn't seem consistent. If it was constantly off by a certain number of minutes, we might be able to do something about it.

This and SyFy's tendency to do full-screen overlays to advertise other shows, during a show, drives me crazy, but only SyFy can fix these things.

Vagrant Queen recorded fine for me so I don't think SyFy was running late.

I will have to dive into GGRussell's DVR diagnostics to see if there was some non-guide related issue, but if your recording was on-time, then that is likely what happened.
