jasonl wrote: Tue Apr 16, 2019 2:34 pm It's reporting that /share/Multimedia/HDHomeRunDVR/ is tmpfs instead of whatever the correct filesystem would be, which tells me there probably isn't a Multimedia share on the device. Did you delete it? It's normally there by default on QNAP.
precisely.
[~] # df /share/Multimedia/HDHomeRunDVR/
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
tmpfs 16.0M 16.0M 0 100% /share
Shows there is only 16M of space.

I default to /share/Multimedia because it's there by default.. I've not seen a QNAP without it.
But that's not to say that it could change on a newer device/build.

So to resolve.. I suggest create a new folder in /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA and point your RecordPath to it.
Remember to add http user/group to the folder under permissions.
Then shutdown/restart the engine.
When i do
[~] # ls -al /share/M*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 admin administrators 25 2019-04-16 15:06 /share/Multimedia -> CACHEDEV1_DATA/Multimedia/

This is a used NAS but new to me. I installed disks ran through the setup of QNAP then installed the HdHomeRunDRV software so maybe something has changed? New setup using the latest firmware.

Anyway I took your suggestion and created the HDHomeRunDVR folder in the linked Multimedia folder and then changed the record path to /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Multimedia/HDHomeRunDVR
...set the owner and restarted the engine now I see in the log.
Recording: disk space available = 2206GB

Thank you both!

  • Updated Engine to latest release 20190516beta2
  • Added new parameter for RecordStreamsMax to the UI dashboard
  • Added capability to read and write the new parameter
To move to new package - simply do manual install of new package
Once installed you will need to Hard reload the browser page.. This is due to the change in the Javascript to manage the new parameter, and you need to hard reload to force an update of the script.

new QPKG HDHomeRunDVR-0.9.54.qpkg available in the usual locationsGoogle Drive, DropBox, OneDrive

Code is available on github
https://github.com/Silicondust/dvr_install
I installed this and now when I delete a recording is doesn't delete. Any idea?

Edit: How do you hard reload the browser page?

Nothing I do is working. I'm gonna have to go back to the previous PKG until they fix it?

I have the new UI on my Apps and still have the issue. I also can't delete withing the recording engine app in the QNAP.

they changed the api without telling us
so for now the only way to delete is with the new beta UI in the view app.
am working on an update for the DVR manager.

so many moving parts..
could be you don't have the version of the new UI you need...
the 20190430 just refers to the app build, not the UI build.. and you might need to force it to update.

Hi demonrik
I am having an issue with Start and Stop time showing CST instead of EST.
If I remember right I had this before and you directed me to make a change to a Qnap file but I can't find the post to fix.

The Qnap TS-251 shows the correct time zone and time but it was a code page or something like that which Qnap had the wrong default.

Can you please remind me what that change was to fix.?

I think it was php.ini but not sure how to find and change it.

Thanks

You need to change the timezone in the php.ini file in the qnap settings
Or set it in vars.php file of the UI.
