Hi Nickk,

Just upgraded to 20190621 hdhomerun_record on FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE. Seems to work fine, but no longer showing in my.hdhomerun.com

Too bad, because that handy little webpage is how I knew to upgrade in the first place.

If I go to http://freebsd.vm.dn:randomport (where 'randomport' is discovered using netstat -a) I can still access the RECORD server's menu, just not showing up in my.hdhomerun.com.

Edit: This is what I'm talking about:

Can you list the current version number on the Wiki please, so I can track updates if my.hdhomerun.com is not working?

Thanks

Ran into additional problems

Overnight recordings did not work, and my live feeds would not play, either. Nothing was changed, I just went to sleep and woke up to 20190621 not working. I forget what the error message was in HDHR LIVE

Downgrading back to 20190417 made everything work again.

If you're offering these builds as 'experimental', it might be prudent to publish a changelog and a version history, with links to download previous versions.

How about a repo for these RECORD builds in github, with a releases page?

Update: I tried installing the newest version of the Windows 10 configuration software just now, and tried to use the 20190621 RECORD release in FreeBSD. I checked 'generate support log' in the setup software.

Still same outcome, DVR not found, live channels will not load. Downgrading back to 20190417 again. uname -a:

Code: Select all

FreeBSD TVBSD.webtool.space 12.0-RELEASE-p3 FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE-p3 GENERIC amd64

The 20190621 version for FreeBSD had an issue that caused tuners to not be discovered. 20190625beta1 was just released and it resolves the issue.

Hi Jasonl

Thank you for the timely response, I very much appreciate it. I will test the 20190625beta right away.

Update @ 5:23PM PST: I just tried 20190625beta and had the same exact problems. DVR not discovered on my.hdhomerun.com, no DVR discovered in Windows 10 HDHR LIVE, Live TV = unknown channel

I am assuming my logs are still being generated, as I haven't un-checked the box in the setup program.

Yes, we are getting logs. Investigating. I'm going to split this off into a separate thread.

Nick
Hi, yes I'd like that, is it in the same download link as jasonl's post above, or on the wiki?

Edit: Nvm, I downloaded from the link above and it says:

Code: Select all

[root@TVBSD /home/local]# ./hdhomerun_record_freebsd_beta version
HDHomeRun RECORD version 20190625beta2
Copyright © 2005-2018 Silicondust USA Inc. <www.silicondust.com>. All rights reserved.
Update @ 9:22 PM PST: Looks like all 3 things that weren't working are working now:
Live TV channels tune and display
DVR recordings display and play
my.hdhomerun.com DVR listed 20190625beta2

Thank you for your help :)

I'll leave logs on in case there's anything you can learn from them over the next week.

Please let me know when the general release version is ready - or better yet, start listing the version numbers in the wiki! :D

Thanks

Sounds reasonable, I will add the dates to the wiki.
