Hi,
For HDHR5 the following url works: http://<device ip>:5004/auto/v<channel number>
But the same does not seem to work for HDHR3 devices. Http api documentation only mention the above syntax, is there another syntax for HDHR3 devices or is http streaming not possible?

Re: HDHR3 url for VLC
With the exception of the prime and expand which are 3rd gen cable/non-ota devices (expand can be 5th as well depending on when purchased), you will need a 4th gen or later tuner to take advantage of http streaming as the 3rd gen or earlier devices can't support such. You will have to look at setting the tuner to the correct frequency (the tuner itself does not maintain a lineup, though there is a hack that SD implemented that a windows PC can run a scan and such results be hosted by SD). Then stream to a port on your computer

Ok, thank you for clarifying. Maybe this document https://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/h ... opment.pdf should be updated with that information since it is not clear this is a gen4+ feature?
I guess libhdhomerun is the way to go then if you want to support all devices?
