Trying to get the xmltv data

Post by JoeDonth »

I have issued the following command to get my xmltv data (testing):
curl --compressed api.hdhomerun.com/api/xmltv?DeviceAuth=<DEVICE_AUTH_KEY> > xmltvlist.xml

and am getting this in response:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tv source-info-url="https://www.hdhomerun.com/" source-info-name="HDHomeRun">
</tv>

rather than my guide data.

The Device Auth Key is from my Servio device

What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

I found that by appending ALL the device IDs it worked!

such data is only available with DVR access... it sounds like your dvr access is through a scribe/servio rather than paid subscription, that device id must be present as that is your access to the data. If that is not the case make sure all devices are properly on your account.

note: just reread your first post... a servio doesn't have a lineup as it has no tuners so you must use a tuner DeviceAuth (for lineup) and your servio's DeviceAuth for access to the data (if your tuners are not on a paid subscription).

The 24 hour guide data isn't available to 3rd party apps or grabbers due to licensing.

The 14 day guide is available with a DVR subscription ($35 / year).
