Duplicate entries in recorded_files.json?DisplayGroupID=root

Hi! I kinda mentioned this in another post but it may not have been noticed. Just wanted to report what looks like a bug in the RECORD engine that is returning duplicate entries when the StorageURL is queried with DisplayGroupID=root. As an example, here are the duplicates from my RECORD engine (version 20200225, WD EX4100).

It's not difficult to de-duplicate these, just wanted to bring it to your attention since it's probably not supposed to do this DeviceIDs are in my profile, please feel free to access my RECORD engine to have a look if you need to. Am also happy to provide any additional information you might need.

Odd... I haven't been able to reproduce the problem here.

I see the same thing.
And I also see it on the Record Engine via the record_files.html (e.g.: http://192.168.0.21:59090/recorded_files.html)

Sometimes duplicated shows are side by side, other times there is a sequence that repeats.

Example on my Record Engine I see the following listed
...
Stumptown
Supergirl
Supergirl
The Blacklist
...
The Passage
The Purge
The Rookie
The Simpsons
The Purge
The Rookie
The Simpsons
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

I just put it down to one of those things

Do you see the problem only in the root, or in the episodes list as well? (when SeriesID is specified in the URL)

Only in DisplayGroupID=xxxx queries for me. DisplayGroup=movies, for example, also exhibits the behavior.

If you restart the record engine does the problem temporarily fix itself or does it still immediately show the same duplicates?

Restart fixes for DisplayGroupID for me

Edit: Will monitor for when it happens again

Same here. Restart makes the problem go away.
