TestFlight is not offering me version 20210520 either... The latest it shows for me is still 20210513.

I tried installing version 20210505 under previous builds as suggested, but unfortunately that does not fix the discovery problem for me.

I installed the TestFlight HD Homerun version 20210520 and get message:

HDHomeRun
No devices detected

This is my hardware:
Model: HDHR3-US
Device ID: 10373957
Firmware: 20200225

If I use TestFlight to revert back to HD Homerun version 20210505, then everything works OK.

Legacy models will need TestFlight release 20210521 which is in review.

Just installed v20210521 for iOS (iPhone XS Max) and it’s successful. I’m able to discover both HDHR primes on my network, and watch the channels :-)

Don’t appreciate breaking it, but I Appreciate the fix!

Cory

Great to hear it is working.

Note that we didn't break it... the broadcast discovery approach used by the app has worked for years, that is until Apple released 14.5.1 which blocked sending broadcast packets.

I installed the TestFlight HDHomerun version 20210521 on my iphone SE, IOS 14.5.1, and get this message:

Unable to play channel:
All Tuners In Use
Unknown Channel

This is my hardware:
Model: HDHR3-US
Device ID: 10373957
Firmware: 20200225

If I use TestFlight to revert back to HDHomerun version 20210505, then everything works OK.

These things happen, so I particularly don't care who broke it - but I would very much like to endorse the thanks for fixing it - I really appreciate the speed with which a working solution appeared in the App Store!

To be fair, though, this is why developers participate in the iOS beta program so that they can identify such problems before they affect customers.

Existing installs were exempt, and allowed to still function as they did before, so being on the iOS beta wouldn't have helped. It wasn't until both 14.5 was released and an update (or fresh install) that this issue became apparent.

The problem is still not completely solved. I hope SiliconDust is still investigating why legacy devices like mine (HDHR3-US) still do not work with the latest version 20210521, but does work with the older version 20210505.

Using 20210521 I get the message

Unable to play channel:
All Tuners In Use
Unknown Channel

Why wouldn't your prerelease testing include a fresh install? At least on a the latest iOS version. That seems like an obvious test scenario?

Now my Android phone app behaves the same as iOS devices:

Google Pixel 5 with latest update.
HDHR app: latest 0514

Android TV devices work just fine.
