LG TV Screen black

First, I have no trouble with HDHomerun from my laptop.

I have a 75" LG Smart TV. The app finds the tuner but then the screen goes black and no audio. If I hit the up button, the available channels are displayed on the right and I can select one but the screen goes black and no audio again as soon as I select a channel.

I can record the program and I can watch the recorded video. But "Live" always displays black and no audio.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app - no help.

I suspect it is the app, but only a few days ago, it worked fine. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Having this exact problem on my same size LG TV. HdHomerun channel picks things up fine on a different older Samsung TV utilizing a WiFi Roku stick. Earlier this week no issues on the LG TV. Guessing the app for LG needs an update??

I have an LG OLED 2017 model. First time I turn it on, I sometimes get a black screen after the HD logo,etc. But I can turn it off and back on, it will then work correctly.

I have a customer with a brand new 75" LG, who has been using the HD app for months now and suddenly yesterday they are also getting the Black screen when attempting to watch LIVE TV.
Exact same behavior as everyone else.
The Guide works, able to select recorded, make recordings and view recordings. Just no LIVE TV. They have two other TVs with Fire TV Sticks, and they work perfectly.

This is extremely frustrating!!!

We're still trying to figure out what broke and why. It seems to only affect certain LG TVs. This is a high priority, though. We'll get this fixed ASAP.

LG OLED55C6P-U 2017 model I think. As posted, I only see black screen occasionally when I first turn it on. 99% of the time, I can turn it off/on and it will work second time.

Two other TV's using Fire Stick work fine
