New Place and dropped cable. Now using the new Quatro 4k with the LG App as my main viewing combo. No complaints, works great. When I first run the app, it takes about 7-10 seconds for first video/audio. No issues after that though. No more external boxes is great.
Now have two Primes that I'm no long using.
LG TV App is now my full time viewer
Re: LG TV App is now my full time viewer
I wish there was an app for my Samsung TV. I may be cutting the cord in early 2021. Have to see how much Cox is going up. It's already not worth it so.......
Re: LG TV App is now my full time viewer
Charter/Spectrum keeps going up here too. Just internet alone is now $75/mo. With cable, it's more than a car payment.

Re: LG TV App is now my full time viewer
Just noticed this evening when I press MUTE on the LG remote, the CC does not automatically show on display. Is this a known issue?

Re: LG TV App is now my full time viewer
Samsung has killed "apps" from SD twice now (wouldn't allow old e series app (thus is prior to dvr) to move on to later tv's, then pulled rui support on k series which was essentially provided the same as the current app, including drm support for live tv, so i wouldn't blame sd for not doing such again but wouldn't mind seeing it.
If one caught some of the things LG stated about silicondust from ces it almost seems like they are willing to be "partners" (at least when it comes to atsc 3.0) and would love that to expand to even allowing drm support within the app.

Don't know where you live, but not here. Cheapest here is $44.99 for 12mo if bundled only for new customers only. After that, it more than doubles and they don't renegotiate. Internet by itself here is now $74.99 a month. Bundled is it's still $64.99! And they don't have ANY lower speeds at lower prices. I'm waiting for T-Mobile 5G home internet at $50/mo.

They have Stream. 25 channels set non sports package and Choice 10 channels you pick. For $25 each. There is a $8.95 broadcast fee. So with tax around $38 You can also get premiums for $7.50 each or 5 for $15. The Stream has a $12 sports add on option
Re: LG TV App is now my full time viewer
Sorry, but I don't see any of those choices at spectrum.com for my location. They do have a streaming app but only for those with a cable account. If Spectrum has a streaming only option, it is very well hidden.

You need to call them, They will offer them as part of retention or someone looking to add service
Edit. With those two plans you can still use a cable card, so it's not only streaming

Must be a regional thing. They didn't even try to keep me as a customer. Charter/Spectrum in this area has never had any type of 'retention' plans. I'm OTA now with the Connect 4K. I have two Primes I no longer use.
