Looks like you also have two NAS recorders, with one of them reporting two IP addresses. I know in the past that has caused an issue, I wonder if it's related to this somehow, though I have a feeling maybe not. Either way, will make sure the development team gets a look at this.

Its been awhile since i looked but i don't believe your first log stated anything about live and i assume that is from nas... often a scribe is preferred for live and it will use its own tuner/engine... i have even seen such behavior with a servio getting preferred as the engine for live over the nas (with 1000x more free space). About the only way you can ensure such is to not have a servio/scribe around and i would also tend to say that can be the case whenever one has multiple engines as the client chooses which engine to play from while the dvr's figure it out amongst themselves (usually by most space) as to which records rules (assuming all engines up to date to support such)

It hasn't done it lately for me (probably because it is so full) but i used to have a problem that when using a servio overnight the stream often reset with no action on my part when it became full (unlike other issues of starting at beginning if one tries to fast forward/rewind after several hours... i can understand such a little more when its my own action). I don't have a scribe at this location but do remember the scribe and extend at my other location behaving the same way when one had another engine running.

I really do not like this behavior at all as it also does the same when using the Primes .... signcarver I think you are right it only happens when using a Scribe and NAS ... as the Scribe is always preferred for LIVETV and always grabs a tuner not in use even if watching the same channel that is being recorded.

I'm able to reproduce the issue. I don't believe this is intentional behavior. Will let the development team know about this.

Thanks Ned I am sure it is not intentional ... I know it will be a while because this will require DVR engine work.

Nick has been able to confirm the issue. It will require some changes to properly address, but it is now on the do-to list.
