Hi all -

I am also having this issue running this app version on Windows 10 - getting several minutes of audio, before sound drops out. If I change to a new channel audio resumes, but then the same happens (drop off of audio after a few minutes).

I have turned on the reporting issues in the settings, so with luck you can see the issue in action. Happens at 6:01am local time in the log (about 4 minutes after I activated the app).

We have not been able to reproduce the problem but we did identify a way it could be occurring. A new release/update has been published on the Microsoft Store.

Hi again Nick,

Nope this did not help. It has already dropped out. Dropped out at about 5:46PM while watching MSNBC. Changed to another channel and the audio came back on. I had Send Diagnostic Information turned on so you have that info, if you need it.

I was finally able to reproduce on windows 10 while watching Fox News and MSNBC after about 20 minutes each (both are DRM here so can't get a capture). Trying to get an OTA station to do it now... thought it did it but it was just an awkward silence during the newscast. On android things appear to be working great.

Edit: an hour and a half later, still haven't been able to reproduce with OTA. Will keep that stream going a bit longer then try it again on the cable equivalent.

I'm also having the same issue. Xbox one, xfinity, Colorado. Watching MTV, it will happen as much as ten times in 30 min episodee. Its happening on my local ABC affiliate as well. Got about 3 minutes of the show before cutting out. Also, I don't seem to be having the issue with my nexus player on another TV. I will have to confirm that though.

I have turned on sending diagnostic information.

Nope still not working. I'm on 20200519a and it is certainly less frequent, but still happening as before. I've left tracking on.

Hello, My HDHomeRun Prime is having this audio stopping while viewing any channel also on Windows 10 app. The only way to get audio back is to change channels and come back to the channel you want to watch. But the audio will drop out and stop again in a few minutes. Over and over. A real nusance now. Can't use it anymore. Please fix it!
I've turned on sending diagnostics on the Windows 10 app. Hope you can fix this soon.
Cable provider is Spectrum NYC area if that helps you troubleshoot the signal problem(s).

I'm also experiencing this issue both on the XBox One X and Windows 10 apps with the Extend and OTA channels. For me, it only seems to happen when our local station is airing the news. I turned on diagnostics for both apps (HDTC-2US, Firmware 20200225, Device ID 10545DDF), and will see if I can reproduce around 5 PM EST.

Same issue here, Xbox One X on app version 1.1.291.70 running a Prime w/ CableCard from Verizon FiOS. Sound is good for a few minutes, then just cuts out until I change channel and come back. Turned on diagnostics and will reproduce.

Hi All

Updated the firmware. Reinstalled the app. Still having this issue - not resolved.

Running on fully updated and current Windows 10 with all patches.
Equipment is HDHR4-2DT
Serial Number: 12310E65
Unique ID: 2F888B5E-F48C-3B5D-927E-FDBFF84A5D24

Have left tracking on.

Very frustrating! The tuner is working fine using Channels on AppleTV - so its definitely the app.

Update - I was able to reproduce the issue with diagnostics turned on for the latest Windows 10 and XBox One app. Let me know if you need additional data for tracking it down.

While we hope to have a update to fix this very soon, there is a temp work-around. If you enable "sideloading" you can use the Windows installer to sideload older versions of the UWP viewer app (you might need to uninstall the Microsoft Store version first):

A new app release has been submitted to the app store. It will take hopefully be live for download in about 30 minutes.
