Coppy Playback and constant lockup

Post by myk »

Afternoon.

I have recently bought a HD HomeRun 2 channel tuner and I have connected this up to my ariel and Nas (running Emby)

I have been having some issues with the playback on the Emby guide on both my Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV 4K.

I have been able to install the native Silicon Dust app for Android, but it appears there is not one for TVOS. Instead I purchased Channels. Here I can see the tuner and connect to some channels. However after a few minutes (sometimes secons) of playback the picture freezes and the stream no longer works.

This does this on the Amazon, Apple TV and on the apps mentioned above including emby.

Is this an issue with the device as my TV ariel works ok for thE freeeview TV if plugged into the bedroom TV.

This issue only started around 4 weeks ago.

Model: HDHR5-2DT
Firmware: 20200225

Please run through these steps and then reply back with the "Device ID" of your HDHomeRun: https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/trouble ... _platforms

Then we can check the logs.

100% reported strength is often too high as you don't know how much above 100% it really is. Also in UK many find they need a filter/braid breaker. But i would let them look at the logs sent to them from the scan (not what you can see/posted) as they can often see some things that indicate that might be the issue.

There's some very weird readings from the channel scan. Something's not right, but I'm not entirely sure what it is yet.

Please submit a support ticket and reference this forum thread: https://www.silicondust.com/support/trouble-ticket/
