Please enable the sending of diagnostic data on the HDHomeRun and run a channel scan, then enable the sending of diagnostic data in the HDHomeRun app (see https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/trouble ... iagnostics) then watch a problem channel for 10 minutes. Reply back with the device ID for your HDHomeRun and what channel number you watched and we will check the logs.

Please close the app and repeat the scan, and don't try to use the HDHomeRun while the scan is running. It adds a lot of junk in the logs and prevents us from getting a full picture of how the signals look.

You have a very poor signal on the frequency that carries many of your SD local channels. Do you see issues watching the HD version, e.g. channel 702? Optimum is one of the odder cable providers out there in that they have the HD channels mapped to the low channel numbers (2, 4, 5, 7, etc.) on their boxes, but not on CableCARD devices, so you have to go into the 600+ channels to get the HD versions.

Thank you,
The higher channels for the most part work fine

Sory for the noob question but i assume poor frequency means that i have to many splitter/bad coax? or would it likely be a cable company problem?

Possibly a damaged or poorly shielded coax cable (e.g. RG59 instead of RG6), possibly outside signals leaking in due to an unused outlet or splitter port that is not terminated, possibly a problem outside the home with the wiring, possibly interference from the upstream signal from the cable modem if it's running off the same splitter and the splitter has poor port to port isolation.
