Win 10 closed captions

Post by leerandall » Sat Dec 07, 2019 9:01 pm

I'm setting up a new desktop machine that has Win 10 version 1909 installed along with the HDHR app. All works well except that the HDHR app doesn't remember that I had captions turned on when I shut the app down the last time, so I have to turn captions on again every time I start the app. My other Win 10 version 1909 machine remembers that I had CC turned on when I shut the app down, and the app starts each time with CC turned on. What do I have to do on my new machine to get the HDHR app to remember to start up with CC turned on if it was shut down with CC turned on?

On Windows, captions only come on automatically if the volume is muted.

That explains it then. I'm just now staging this new desktop machine and it doesn't currently have any speakers attached so I can't mute them. My other Win10 machine is my laptop that has the speakers muted. Thanks, Jason.
