I know it was said in the past that roku could not play my tv channels for my prime box. I noticed that you have mentioned a new roku hd app. That does not work for my prime box I assume. Am I correct? I was playing around and loaded the app on my roku but it did not see my prime box. Thanks.

All that is on roku and allowing their player to handle such, nothing for SD to do... typically roku handles mpeg2 very poorly and also does not do well with things changing mid stream which is more common on cable... my suggestion is if roku ever notifies of a system update that you retry then though it is doubtful they ever will fix their issues that crop up most often on cable streams though they can still occasionally pop up on ota as well.
Cable companies do something to the signal that makes the Roku video player reject the stream. We've tried to get Roku's attention about it, but I imagine live cable TV streaming is not a high priority for them.
