Guide/network on the fritz?

Post by tpfarr » Mon Jun 24, 2019 5:49 am

No guide, no tasks, my.hdhomerun.com shows no info.

Seems like the servers are on the fritz?

I am having the same issue. Last night I noticed there was an update and this morning no tuners detected.

I'm having the identical issues:
1) No electronic program guide
2) my.hdhomerun.com can't detect my tuner (I rebooted Prime3 and router...no change).

Looks like a software update went wrong

I think there was a Cloudflare outage this morning. I use Cloudflare for my DNS server. While browsing the forum this morning my internet went down. I switched my DNS server from Cloudflare to Google DNS and my internet came back up, but the SD forum and my.hdhomerun.com still didn't work. That makes sense since Silicondust uses Cloudflare.

As best as I can piece together, Verizon made a huge mistake and accepted some incorrect routes to reach other parts of the internet. This caused widespread problems for anyone who had traffic trying to cross Verizon's network, including Verizon's own residential and business customers, customers of other ISPs that get transit from Verizon, and people trying to reach sites that get their connectivity from Verizon. Verizon is a major tier 1 ISP, so it was a pretty big problem.

https://blog.cloudflare.com/how-verizon ... ine-today/

Very weird, and apparently more common than one would hope.
