I am wondering when a colon and a parenthesis became a picture of a smiley face I am old fashioned and prefer it to print out the characters. Is there any way to set it to do this. Thanks

There's a smilies setting in the user control panel.

It appears to be working. Thanks. BTW, As I said, I am old fashioned but I am always open to learning. Feel free to post new text emogi characters with their meaning below and I will try to remember them. :) Thanks.
