Not for its own dvr, the tuner would essentially work the same as a duo allowing one to use a 3rd party app which uses such to record (on where the 3rd party app runs). In theory one could then process such recordings adding meta data and move them back to the scribe to be seen by their client software, but last I heard upload was still being worked on.

Can build in DVR software pull EPG off the OTA Station ..
It should be noted that in the US(*), the EPG from the OTA stations is not really sufficient for good DVR scheduling (it sort of OK for what title is playing now, and the duration, and what is playing in the next 9-12 hours), but a (good) DVR typically needs more data than just the minimal (title) data that is in the required PSIP (and very few broadcasters do more than the required minimum). Sure, some people will be fine recording every rerun of TBBT that is stripped across all their channels just to get the one new episode being shown this month, but most people want more from their DVR solution (including more detailed episode information).

(*) In some other parts of the world, the OTA guide data is sometimes somewhat better.

I don't care about all that keep in mind not everyone has internet access that the whole point of it especially with older folk's don't give rat *** about internet other then what on there phone and even then many of them don't care about that so as long it can sched and record what want there happy beside it also useful in other area to.

The SCRIBE uses the 14-day guide and meta data we provide.

The limited information available OTA isn't suitable for supporting the DVR features we provide.
