Not the one from SD.

There are 3rd party apps that do.

Wait...are you saying you cannot use the SD DVR with HDHR3-US? If not why? I am using Plex DVR and it is getting on my last nerve. I am looking into SD's DVR service.

The reason it isn't supported by SD's DVR is because it doesn't support the HTTP API that newer models support. (The Prime is the only third gen device—HDHR3—that supports this API, IIRC.) SD has decided to use their new HTTP API exclusively for their DVR I believe, but nearly every other DVR software package either uses both the new API and the older, or just the older API (which is still supported by all devices, even the new ones).

I just got the Plex DVR up and running... seems ok, what issues are you having?

Does the DVR software support the HDHR3-US?
It does not populate in the record pool but they did manage to make it so it's available to the viewing pool. I find this advantageous as my reception is a bit unreliable but it's sufficient enough for viewing. Hopefully they give you an option of what tuners one would like to assign to the DVR, in the future. I wouldn't mind upgrading my OTA tuner.

Bottom of where it compares the free vs paid service shows it is supported though. I just saw mine ends in CC does that matter?

1st was it wasn't recording but have since fixed it. Now it records only in SD. I set it to any resolution but now tell it which HD channel to use. One show it wouldn't even pull up the channel it is on. I had to recant and refresh the guide to show up. There are way to many problems just to get it to record correctly.

Yes it matters, different tuner than this thread is about... the hdhr3-cc is a prime... a hdhr3-us (any 3rd gen other than cc or dc, though may also state numbers indicating number if tuners such as -3cc or -4dc) doesn't have a "name" though many refer to them a dual and only works with legacy methods while the "named" tuners (prime, connect, expand, extend, duo, quatro) support the modern methods.

Okay now I get it. Thank you for clarifying that for me. I can actually switch to SD DVR with my current equipment HDHR3-CC.
