Hello,
Problems persist in Kodi v18 with any non-default skin. I love my HDHomeRun, could we please get an update on a potential fix?

Looking for a fix or workaround too. Shame this is taking so long.

Good news, folks! First off...

Second, I think the fix is in, because I just ran the addon in Confluence, and it appears to be working. If not, I suppose we are now accepting PRs! :)

edit: I should probably add, major thanks to @nickk and @neds for being on top of this. And ruuk for transferring.

Any word on when the latest release will be pushed to the official KODI repo? I have been holding of my upgrade to v18 on the family unit, and am excited to finally have a fix in place that will allow me to upgrade.

I performed a manual update on the addon, and it appears the latest version available is 2018.12.27. Is that the latest version?

I just checked the GITHUB changelog, and 2018.12.27 is the latest version.

Upgraded to Kodi 18, and the latest release of the addon is working as expected with the Confluence Skin.

I have noticed though that the "?0?" pattern still exists in the Recorded/Discover/Tasks menus. In no way a show stopper, but I figured I would still report it. I uninstalled the addon, and re-installed, and the pattern still appears.

Hmm...then the github isn't matching the repo.

What do you mean? That's about when we pushed from the new github source to the Kodi repo.

visit the github...is does show 12/27 date....if that is the latest, all is well. It appears to work. BUT if there is a newer version in your possession, please push it to the github so all may access....Thanks!

any chance someone fatfingered....and typed 12/27 instead of 2/27 when published?

I can concur that the new 1227 release works fine now with Confluence and Kodi 18. I was gone on vacation for 3 weeks. Came back, saw this update and checked to find that it had automatically updated the addon. Nice work.

Ah, no, I see. The date in github is the last date a commit was made, not the publication date. Since no commits were made in February, there would be no reason to make it that date.

There still exists a minor problem with this latest version...that where when you tune to a once active but now inactive channel the interface basically freezes, the throws you back to the Search/Exit screen. Try to reconnect to search as in Kodi 17 and it eventually throw you back to Search/Exit. The only way I have found to break the loop is to uninstall and reinstall Kodi from my device. Repowering the HD Homerun box does NOT cure the loop.

This is problematic at this time of year as atmospheric conditions allow stations from hundreds of miles away to appear early in the day then disappear as the band opening closes. Also it is made worse with the missing Premium Channels to which I again re-subscribed.

If you need more detail for your developers, I will try to provide for you.

I did bring this to the attention of the development team. There is an easier workaround that completely uninstalling Kodi: if you disable the problem channel on the Channel Lineup page on the HDHomeRun's web page, then the next time you open the add-on it will instead start with your lowest-numbered channel.
