Guide depth is only a day or two - neil459

Postby neil459 » Sat Mar 10, 2018 3:54 pm

No. I only turned on when I happened to notice it when I turned on the send diags feature you requested. But I've turned it off again and there's no change. I only get two days.
On my Mac, trying to scroll in the Discover view is really screwed up. Every time I get to the bottom, it automatically moves my cursor and the scroll bar back to some previous random place that I don't want to be. I get just a second to see how far I have scrolled. To date, I have been able to get about 24 hours, but no more. I can get to the bottom if I use the arrow keys and not the scroll bars. Scrollbars don't seem to work well at all except for the next couple of hours.

So, I guess that, if you don't know the name of the program you want to watch you can only find it if it is going to play in the next couple of hours. Not seeing much value here.

If it were me, I would stop selling this DVR service until at least basic functionality works.

Neil

P.S. I also have diagnostics on.

Absolutely no difference with "Early access to features" turned off.

I forgot to ask... do you use the HDHomeRun DVR service?

The free guide covers 24 hours. The full DVR guide covers 2 weeks.

Retested here on Mac and on Windows... we are getting 2 weeks as expected and not seeing the cursor jump around.

Test we ran:
1) Go to Discover, Now.
2) Hold down the down arrow button.
You should see it hit the bottom at about +24 hours, then after a few seconds, it should load the next days worth of data.
The cursor doesn't jump around - it stays in the right place, though you do suddenly get more pictures past where you hit the end.

Can you please re-test.

@Nickk

Try same on an iPad. Scrolling down (can’t use down arrow on bluetooth keyboard ...still not instituted).

Once the scroll down reaches the end of the current page load... scrolling further yields additional info load, however, the focus then auto returns to first line (current on line), etc., etc. :D

Nope, Just tried it at 4:42 pm and the guide stops at Tue 4:30. Held the down button till it stopped, continued to hold down for 6 to 8 seconds. Nothing.

Went up a few, then back to the last show shown, Ed Sullivan, and held down for 15 seconds. Nothing.
