New HDHR Prime not displaying DVR shows

I am running my Prime on a Windows 10 machine. Live viewing works well. I paid for a DVR subscription and it looked like installation completed fine. At first recording and playing worked flawlessly. Around 24 hours after initial install any new shows I recorded appear to play, but the screen is black and there is no sound. I open the folder designated for storing recordings and the files are there. Example - One episode of Top Chef is around 4 gigs in size. (I have hundreds of gigs of storage available, so not a space issue).
I am running Version 20161119 of Record and 20170930 of HDHomeRun.
I finally hit some combination of selections that offered up an error code, the only one I've seen: MF_MEDIA_ENGINE_ERR_DECODE:HRESULT 0xC00D36F2
Any ideas where to start?

Are the channels DRM? the dvr does not support drm protected channels.

Probably not what is going on, but did you both activate your DVR account after purchase?
