I have a problem channel UHF 33 where I live. Signal strength is quite good. I can pick it up with even a minimal antenna.
The problem seems to be with HDHomerun tuners and that station. I've done everything I can think of to solve this. Avant-X, LTE filter, attenuators, different antennas, a cage around a smaller antenna. What puzzles me the most is how the HDHomerun handles the station. Using the HDHomerun signal strength app, it appears that once it detects an unstable signal, it lacks the capability to easily re-tune the signal - resulting in continual errors and picture pixelation.
Here's a YouTube video that tries to show what happens. Note: after the signal deteriorates, I change the channel for that bad tuner briefly to channel 31, then back to 33. Presto! The tuner works fine again. This is why I think there's something wrong with the HDHomerun error handling. https://youtu.be/Y6j6iZCm6Cw (hopefully everyone can view that)
Reception, channel detection, network issues, CableCARD setup, etc.
