History of tuner chip used in each generation?

Reception, channel detection, network issues, CableCARD setup, etc.

History of tuner chip used in each generation?

I have three generations of HDHOMERUN devices including first gen. I also have a Samsung TV. My OTA signal is distributed using a channel master 8-Port Signal Distribution Amplifier.

The reception performance of the Samsung TV exceeds all my HDHOMERUN devices.

My question is this, do the turners built into the current generation of HDHOMERUN devices offer improved reception over older generations?

I have been really impressed with the tuners in the new Quattro 4K.
