Unit dead on arrival?

Unit dead on arrival?

I just got a delivery of a HDHR5-4DT(UK) Quattro unit. But the unit seems to be completely dead; it's flashing both its green and red LEDs on the ethernet jack, but it's neither detectable on the network nor has it picked up an IP address as far as my router's concerned.

Any ideas?

That doesn't sound good.

Please drop a quick email to support@silicondust.com - we will provide a return shipping label and send you a replacement unit.

I already filed in a support ticket shortly after making the earlier post.

I thought I would post it here as well shortly after making the ticket so that it's one more eventuality documented and covered.

Got the replacement unit; works a charm!

Now just need to wait for instructions from support regarding the dead one.

(Updated the serial number on my profile!!)
