Not getting the antenna signal

Post by OBX-DXer »

My old HD HomeRun is getting a variety of signals. The new 4K version isn't getting any. Nor is it being found although I am getting an IP and the computer recognizes it, plus it opens in the software.

But not on myhdhomerun.com (see below)

No HDHomeRun detected.

Please connect the HDHomeRun to your router and refresh the page.

HDHomeRun PRIME: Please remove the CableCARD to allow detection to complete.

What am I doing wrong?

There are a number of things that can affect seeing a tuner at my.hdhomerun.com. To be seen at my.hdhomerun.com, your browser must be trying to view the page from the same public ip that the tuner device did (the tuner will contact SD at power on and every 8 hours... a legacy model will also need to be on modern firmware (and legacy models also eventually have a scan run by a windows machine). There are many isp's that use methods that your public ip isn't always the same. Also any vpn or proxy will cause such to fail.

Bigger problem is it's not getting any signals at all.

Meanwhile, this is what's coming in on the old 1.0 tuner.
