HDHR4-2US needs power cycling a lot

Post by jfabernathy »

I have a HDHR Connect HDHR4-2US and a HDHR Connect Quatro HDHR5-4US.

Usually I can treat them interchangeability, but lately when the TV signal breaks up a lot it's usually the HDHR4-2US. If I use the HDHomerun GUI in Linux I can see the signal problems more easily between the 2 tuners.

If I unplugged the power brick on the HDHR4-US for 30 seconds and reconnect the problem goes away for a while. I'm assuming a tired old power brick. Any recommendations on what to get as a better replacement power supply for the HDHR4-US??

Power supply specs listed here if you want to find one yourself:

Or you can just get a replacement part from Silicondust.

Found out the original replacement PS is only $15 including shipping so I just ordered one. It's worth that for a test to see it's truly a PS problem. I've heard the PS Brick has been a issue for a lot of folks.
