Receiving Channels with Duplicate Virtual Numbers

Post by TurnipTruck »

Greetings. My HDHR receivers are able pick up New York City and Philadelphia channels simultaneously. Thus, there are several receivable channels that would have the same virtual channel numbers. For example: WCBS from NYC has 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. WDPN from Philadelphia has 2.1 through 2.7.

The channel guides in both the Windows and mobile app will only show one set of 2.x virtual channels. Sometimes I'll get the program guide from one channel and the video from the other.

Is there any way to cause the channel guide to show both sets of virtual channels when two different OTA signals share the same virtual numbers?

Thank you!

Not with SD's apps or anything else that relies on the scanned lineup of the tuner... occasionally a third party app could actually break such apart if different devices were involved such as a one device with an antenna aimed one way and another device with an antenna aimed the other but SD's apps have no such concept and will combine both as being the same.
