Can you use multiple DUOs in same house?

Post by Dalhia2019 » Sun Mar 15, 2020 4:29 pm

At my location I have two cities in opposite directions. Combining antennas doesn’t work well. Separate antennas work no problem but most tuners only have one input. Is it possible to use two DUOs in my house and how does that work in using the HdHomerun App? I’m hoping that the app will list all channels received from both devices and then I can delete weak channels and keep the strong. Possible?

It just works... but you may wish to disable channels on one that show up on both that way it will always use the one with better signal. Also keep in mind that only one of any given virtual channel number is allowed so if you have 5.1 in one direction and a different 5.1 in another make sure to disable one of them (there are even times that the wrong one might slip in unexpectedly in the background scan as the one with the highest resolution is the one added or the better quality if its the same resolution).
