Australia Cam Cards

Post by dbodeenisudm » Wed Feb 26, 2020 2:35 pm

Has anyone got Silicon Dust product working with Cam Cards via FoxTel in Australia?
If you have could you point me to the best SD product to use and any pointers on how to request Cam Cards from Fox Tel.
Like if I were to order would I say, I need one Cam Card? [or is the lingo different]

If a "Cam Card" is a controlled access card, then no, SiliconDust does not support them.

The only "cards" that SD tuners support are CableCARDs used by US cable systems. The only external devices that SD tuners support are tuning adapters/resolves required by some US cable systems. Both are only supported by the Prime tuner (HDHR3-CC).

DVB-C and DVB-T/T2 tuners from SD do not support conditional access, and they do not make a DVB-S tuner.

Foxtel does not support the use of third-party hardware with their services. You can only use the hardware they supply.
