Firmware Update

Have a HR Extend I installed at my parents place years ago. its been working great since the install however they have recently installed a new TV and Streaming box and have a few complaints about how stream quality is now dropping out. Beings i was home over the holidays i figured id remote in and take a look at it. The firmware on device is 2016 and i cannot update. When i click the version to update it gives me a 404 Error. Is their any way to manually install a firmware update i went through all the menus and didnt see anything ?

You need to update your firmware to a more recent version that allows the tuner itself to update (for release versions this is 20170815 or later) ... for most this means using a windows pc and getting the full software package and running the setup program (throgh a local machine on same subnet)

Ah i got it thanks, didnt think to install the desktop software. I figured i needed a standalone file to flash the device to the latest firmware.
