troubleshooting advice

Post by BlackNotice » Sun Nov 24, 2019 5:42 pm

hi everyone, I was hoping someone could tell me what to do (or in what order) to trouble shoot my HD home run. I have had this puppy for at least 5 years and I love it. From my end nothing has changed, I did not move anything nor did I introduce something new, so wonder if something has failed. I have a OTA antenna and amplifier with small power supply and that feels warm to touch so I am pretty sure it is getting power. Anyway the problem is my tuner stopped recording my shows and when i tried to turn on reg OTA TV I get nothing, basically no signal. I can ping the HD home run so it appears to be running too. My antenna is in the attic so I cant just grab a TV and take it up there to see if i can bypass the tuner. Any suggestions on what i can do to pinpoint if the problem is the home run or the antenna ?

thanks
David
