they look to be the same item. maybe one is sold from an affiliate?

Edit, Yes, the 39 dollar one is directly from Walmart, the other is from another seller.

Walmart has it on sale for "Amazon is having a sale so we are too" Day. The $39.99 one is the one you want.

My 2cents - I prefer the Jetstream over the Mi Box. I've had both and I really like my 2 Jetstreams much more than the Mi Box that's bricked and in a drawer now.

I should clarify; the $39.99 MiBox S is the preferred one of the MiBox options since it is the one being sold directly by Walmart. The other one some company bought a bunch from Walmart and is now turning around and reselling them...through Walmart. This whole marketplace thing is a mess.

The choice between Jetstream and MiBox S is a separate one. The Jetstream has ethernet and is the clear choice for those who can use a wired network. For those on wifi, I don't think there's much difference between them, other than there are a fair number of people who understandably never want to use another Xiaomi product after getting burned by the major problems they had with the Oreo update on the original MiBox.

+1 for the Jetstream better box has micro sd slot, 2 usb, ethernet. Had a mibox original not the s herky jerky video sometimes with it Oreo update was ok on mine. Jetstream has been a solid performing box you usually get what you pay for so my vote the Jetstream.
