Is there a way to enable/not filter psip in the mpeg-ts stream?
I have run the following hdhomerun_config commands and successfully connected to the channel via VLC by following the HDHomeRun Development Guide:
./hdhomerun_config 1313CEE4 set /tuner0/channel auto:45
./hdhomerun_config 1313CEE4 set /tuner0/program "5 tvct_from_pmt=195(USAHD)"
./hdhomerun_config 1313CEE4 set /tuner0/target 188.8.131.52:59000
However, when I pull up the 'Media Information' window in VLC the 'Now Playing' and 'Description' fields are always empty. Eventually, I would like my app to be able to display what's on or what's next, but thought that I would start by confirming that I could get this information in VLC.
I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions on this! Thanks!

You can obtain the entire transport stream unfiltered, or by selecting the pids you wish, but the more important point is that most cable providers (I am presuming with USAHD this is a cable channel) do not include any guide data in-band for they use their own (proprietary) guide delivery mechanisms (often via legacy OOB or DSG). For guide/scheduling data (in the US) you typically have to pay to use a solution which licenses the guide data from someone else to integrate to your solution.
