HDHR3-4DC changelog and ideas

Post by waterwave » Sat May 18, 2019 10:07 pm

I would have an idea for the developer ... My English is weak but I hope it's understandable. The problem is next.
In the log file, the following lines are read 22 times as 6 hours

20190518-15:14:37 Tuner: tuner0 rtp stream ended (stop request)
20190518-15:14:38 Tuner: tuner0 streaming rtp to 192.168.1.111:54004
20190518-15:14:48 Tuner: tuner0 rtp stream ended (stop request)
20190518-15:14:49 Tuner: tuner0 streaming rtp to 192.168.1.111:54004
20190518-15:16:49 Tuner: tuner0 rtp stream ended (stop request)e
20190518-15:16:50 Tuner: tuner0 streaming rtp to 192.168.1.111:54004
20190518-15:18:50 Tuner: tuner0 rtp stream ended (stop request)
20190518-15:18:51 Tuner: tuner0 streaming rtp to 192.168.1.111:54004
20190518-15:20:51 Tuner: tuner0 rtp stream ended (stop request)
20190518-15:20:52 Tuner: tuner0 streaming rtp to 192.168.1.111:54004
20190518-15:22:52 Tuner: tuner0 rtp stream ended (stop request)

I would like to disable this, but this is not possible due to the firmware. You can only delete it by unplugging the homerun device.

Another problem:
19700101-00:00:04 System: ip address obtained: 192.168.1.126 / 255.255.255.0
20190518-11:28:14 System: time changed from Thu Jan 01 00:00:22 1970 to Sat May 18 11:28:14 2019

Time cannot be set due to winter and summer time. Can you solve it somehow? Because it's 2 hours late.
Thank you in advance for your reply

Time should be utc so there is no winter/summer time and the time is in sync around the world.

Logs are supposed to be there so not sure what you are asking about though i do question all the stops and starts and am surprised you are using software that accesses the tuner by rtp (such as wmc) as the 4dc should support the modern method of tuning). If you are having a problem with that, other than the fact the log is there, you may need to mention what software you are using.

I'm using TvMosaic program.
The developer of the program wrote to inquire here.
It's not a matter of life, but I would love these two things because one of them causes the content of the logom to increase dramatically, and runs down meaninglessly every 22 times every 6 hours, the other is the problem of time that I can't configure.

Can't change the time in the log somehow? European time is 2 hours late. No new firmware?

As signcarver said, all times are in UTC (aka GMT, aka ZULU). That is *exactly* the way it should always be (when you run a worldwide infrastructure, time zone offsets and daylight saving time changes (which are different in each locale) make correlation of logs next to impossible without using UTC). I am confident that most individuals can add/subtract their current offset from UTC in their minds (or their programs) if they want to think in local time.
